A WELL ORGANISED, STRUCTURED PRE-GAME WARM UP WILL MAKE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN EXPLOSIVE WINNING START AND A SLOW RESPONSIVE POINT CONCEDING, NEGATIVE BEGINNING.
As a coach you have a great opportunity to prepare your team with a positive, assertive and functional build-up prior to the start of the game.
The important ingredients of a great pre-game warm-up must include the following:
· Dynamic flexibility
· Ball work
· Unit drills
· Defensive patterns
· Explosive runs
Your warm-up must run like clock-work, be at the right intensity, and tick all the boxes that physically and mentally turn the players on for the challenge ahead.
The following pre-game warm-up has been used with great success and I can guarantee that when mastered you will get the most out of your team on match days.
