BOB DWYER INTERNATIONAL CAMP PROGRAMME 2011
Following our successful tour of
Plans are also in place to visit
BDRW International camps are available to players from all nations.
"Our international camps are a great opportunity for players from different countries to share playing experiences; and develop a universal understanding of playing the game with players who bring skills from other parts of the world."
The current mobility of players from country to country will continue to grow and we see our International Programme as a way of helping to facilitate this growth.
YOUR club can be part of our programme. Host a camp or a Coach Education evening and improve the playing performance of your teams.

THE DEFINITIVE RUGBY COACHING MANUAL.
Using Wingers Effectively
Penetrating your opponent's defensive line can be achieved in many ways. The use of wingers is becoming more common, with the flank men often operating in midfield, especially in phase play attack.
In recent weeks, we have seen Bryan Habana, Sitiveni Sivivatu, Shane Williams and Tommy Bowe being very effective in the middle of the pitch, sometimes even with a "pick-and-go". In the old days, David Campese was often effective at first receiver and indeed scored from this position against New Zealand in the RWC1991 semi-final. If it's good enough for these super players, maybe we should all take a closer look.
SAQ SPEED, AGILITY, QUICKNESS
SAQ is one of world's leading physical conditioning programmes used by International, Premiership, Amateur and School teams and also elite athletic individuals. The programme has been instrumental in the success of teams and individuals throughout the world, winning World and European Cups, Premierships and Individual Titles. World Cup-winning strength and conditioning coach Dave Reddin said "I have no hesitation in recommending SAQ to anyone interested in improving the performance of their players."
Each week, Alan Pearson, the driving force behind the internationally renowned training organisation SAQ, and one of the world's most respected physical training and programme consultants, will give you an insight into practical programmes required for preparing your players for the highest level of performance for training and playing the great game of rugby.

ASK THE COACH
Here is an opportunity to ask Bob or Mike a rugby coaching-related question.
We will publish both questions and answer and you will be able to refer to previous questions and answers.
This section contains papers on specific subjects across the total rugby spectrum - from juniors to seniors, from psychological to physical, from theoretical to practical.
Similar papers, specifically relating to sessions in the manual, have been included as additional information in those sections.
Others, included here, will be of value to all ambitious coaches and players. They are available in blocks, as described, and are both relevant and thought-provoking.
