BOB DWYER INTERNATIONAL CAMP PROGRAMME 2011

Following our successful tour of Italy and the UK, Bob Dwyer's 2011 International rugby camp programme will include more venues in Italy, France, England and Australia

Plans are also in place to visit Uruguay, Chile and Argentina.

BDRW International camps are available to players from all nations.

"Our international camps are a great opportunity for players from different countries to share playing experiences; and develop a universal understanding of playing the game with players who bring skills from other parts of the world."

The current mobility of players from country to country will continue to grow and we see our International Programme as a way of helping to facilitate this growth.

YOUR club can be part of our programme. Host a camp or a Coach Education evening and improve the playing performance of your teams.

Using Wingers Effectively

Penetrating your opponent's defensive line can be achieved in many ways. The use of wingers is becoming more common, with the flank men often operating in midfield, especially in phase play attack.

In recent weeks, we have seen Bryan Habana, Sitiveni Sivivatu, Shane Williams and Tommy Bowe being very effective in the middle of the pitch, sometimes even with a "pick-and-go". In the old days, David Campese was often effective at first receiver and indeed scored from this position against New Zealand in the RWC1991 semi-final. If it's good enough for these super players, maybe we should all take a closer look.

SAQ is one of world's leading physical conditioning programmes used by International, Premiership, Amateur and School teams and also elite athletic individuals. The programme has been instrumental in the success of teams and individuals throughout the world, winning World and European Cups, Premierships and Individual Titles. World Cup-winning strength and conditioning coach Dave Reddin said "I have no hesitation in recommending SAQ to anyone interested in improving the performance of their players."

COACHING CONSULTANCY

Experience counts

Both Bob Dwyer and Mike Penistone have considerable experience of coaching at all levels of the game. In addition both have coached in the Northern and Southern hemispheres.

They are available for Coaching Consultancy roles with your team, club or school.

Your Club

  • All clubs are individual and have a particular culture and needs.
  • Having a coaching structure that is effective, will contribute both to coaching and playing enjoyment as well as "winning performances".
  • Creating playing and coaching pathways is vital for the successful longevity of your club. Players should be able to advance through the different age ranges with the necessary playing techniques and skills.
  • Coaches should have the appropriate knowledge for the players and team they coach.

Consultancy can be provided in various forms.

  • Through correspondence and use of both the Website and coaching Manual.
  • Coach Education evenings for all coaches at your club.
  • Weekly, fortnightly, monthly or longer period attachments to your club.
  • Monitoring and review procedures.
  • 3 and 5 day camps and workshops for players and coaches.

Costings

  • All involvements with BDRW are individually costed.
  • As a company we actively encourage the presence of Sponsors at all our consultancies.
  • Sponsorship for a limited period, which can be specific to our programmes, will be far easier to achieve because it is being applied specifically to improving coaching and playing standards at your organisation.
  • Sponsors can easily realize that their contribution is being put to good use.
